Jill and Tomas' wedding day was one that was not only special because of the two of them starting a life together. It was also a celebration of two wonderful families coming together to support the journey they are beginning.

I don't have to wish Jill and Tomas well on their marriage, because I know they will be great together. Congrats again you guys!

What a great way to start a new year of weddings! Nic and Brittany exchanged vows on Jan 22nd at a beautiful venue in Aptos, CA called Sand Rock Farm. The weather for the day could not have been any better and the two of them seemed to enjoy every minute of it without an ounce of stress.

It's a honor when somebody asks you to photograph their wedding, and even more of an honor when it also happens to be a friend. So when Jill asked me to shoot their big day I was thrilled. Jill and Tomas are two great people with a ton of love for each other and are headed for a wonderful life together.

Last week we got together for a fun little engagement session.......... we got some good shots and shared a few laughs as well.

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later--with a nickname like Bruiser it's not too much of a surprise that Asher required stitches to help close a wound he got while playing hockey in the back room.

Jess and I thought we would use his acquisition of stitches as an opportunity to give him a summer haircut. Although this picture doesn't show it, Ash is sportin' a rad ducktail along with his buzz cut.

I love this time of day at golf courses because everything gets really calm and quiet........ this evening was exceptionally quiet because the fog was pretty thick so no one was on the course. Lately I have been loving film!!! Aside from getting it processed (everyone seems to mess something up), I enjoy every aspect of shooting the old fashioned way. It makes me slow down and think of what I want from each shot......... something I forget to do sometimes when I can click and delete.

Here are some shots from a roll of Fuji 800 npz I shot on a recent trip to Pacific Grove. It was an expired roll shot with my old Nikon FG-20 which made for a pretty cool old look.

Last week I had the pleasure of tagging along on a shoot with a good guy and great photographer named Derek Lapsley. Check out Derek's shots from the day at lapsleyphoto.com . We ventured to a sketchy part of downtown to shoot some promo stuff for a local band 'The Kids International'. I was mainly a voice activated light stand, but I brought out my '82 Nikon FG-20 and was able to snap a few shots myself.

I can't believe Jackson is already 2! In some ways it seems he has been around forever, because I can't imagine life without him. It also seems like just yesterday we were leaving the hospital thinking, well what do we do now!?!

Sunday we had a fun bug party with a whole lot of friends and family to help us celebrate. Jackson had a great time and has been playing with his new toys all week! As Jackson would say.... tank u!

Well, what can I say. Jeff and Miranda have cool neighbors that know how to celebrate our nation's independence. Hannah's Sweet 16 Party

Well, last weekend couldn't of been hotter, and I'm not talking about the 108 degree temperature. Hannah's sweet 16 birthday bash held at the super-cool Rio Grill in Clovis was scorching! A lot of dancing, laughing, and celebrating took place to celebrate one sweet young lady's 16th birthday. Here is the birthday girl getting into the action during dinner:

The red carpet gave guests a chance to strut their stuff before heading in for a great meal and performance:

Easter - Holga

Well, I know Easter was about a month ago, but I have been busy . . . . Anyway, here are a few snaps from my first time using a Holga. If you haven't seen a Holga before, it's basically a little plastic box of a camera (even the lens is plastic) that allows for almost no adjustment of exposure settings. Focusing is a little of a guessing game as well.

The reason to shoot with a camera like this, however, is because you get super-stylish and imperfect pictures, and have a blast while doing so. A couple amazing all-film photographers that I follow totally know how to rock this camera (Jon and Leo are geniuses with this camera, and Leo even shot an entire wedding with one).

Anyway, I will post some more Easter photos later. Enjoy.

Sometimes I look at pictures of Jackson and think about how embarrassed he is going to be when I show them to his friends later in life. But in the end those same photos are the ones he will be showing his kids one day and laughing about it. We had a great Easter and hope that everyone else did as well. Beautiful Baby Girl !

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful baby girl............

Natalie Kay Fagundes ! Natalie was born on January 17th which came as a bit of a surprise since it was 4 weeks before her due date and the same day as her baby shower.

Congratulations to Julie and Anthony Fagundes for bringing this bundle of joy into world. Just from my short visit I can tell you guys are going to be wonderful parents............ Natalie is a very lucky little girl!

Here is Natalie's aunt Jill....... whom I am sure is ready to start spoiling her! That's what aunts are for............. right?

and a very proud grandma.......... Natalie is definitely blessed.

Tis tihe season.....

'tis the season for fog, cross country track meets and......... oh yeah, family holiday pictures! Saturday morning we went to shoot pics at Woodward Park and were thrown a little curve ball. The problem...... the whole state was at the park. Well, kind of. They were holding the state cross country finals. It turned out to be a blessing, we parked across the street (which saved us $5) and walked in to a nice little spot I had been scoping for a while (which turned out to be even better that I thought). All said and done..............great session! Check 'em out................

Trip to the zoo!!

It has been a long time since I have been to the zoo..... I mean a LONG time.

Monday was a perfect day to take Jackson to the zoo. The weather was great.... somewhere around 85 degrees, which was a welcomed change from the 100+ we had for a few weeks.

Of course I had to get some pictures of the day to share with y'all!!
